The Oldbury Reserve Chardonnay was made only with the best fruit from our high altitude vineyards. One half of this wine was fermented in French and American oak barrels to extract elegance and velvety notes such as cinnamon, roasted almonds, vanilla and mocha cream. The remaining fraction was fermented in stainless tanks and developed an eccentric array of fruit flavours ranging from limes, pineapple and lemongrass with hints of butterscotch aromas. This wine is round and silky, medium bodied and ends softly and fresh on your palate.
This wine would be best served with wild oysters, smoked salmon, creamy Italian dishes and Thai food.
